Honey Chili Potatoes
Popular Indo – Chinese recipe, mouth watering…..everyone likes Chinese. My family and friends like to eat Chinese food very much. Potatoes are my weakness. I love to make it and love to eat it! It is a very easy to make recipe. Nice evening snack.
Serves 3-4
Ingredients
5 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into fingers(you can also cut it very thin)
5 garlic cloves (fine chopped)
4 tsp corn flour
2 red chili
2 tsp vinegar
2 tsp tomato sauce
1 tsp red green chilli sauce
1 inch ginger(fine chopped)
2 tsp honey
½ sesame seeds
Salt as required
Oil for frying
Spring onion stem
Boil the cut potatoes in high flame for 2 minutes. (To give a professional look I cut the potatoes thick. If you cut the potatoes into thin slices you don’t need to boil it)
Drain potato fingers and transfer into a large bowl. Coat the potatoes with corn flour and salt. Mix gently.
Heat sufficient oil in a pan. Add potatoes and fry till they are crisp and golden brown. Drain and place on a kitchen towel. Keep aside.
Heat ½ tsp of oil in a pan. In the hot oil add chopped garlic and ginger. Fry for a minute. Add red chili flakes. Fry on medium flame, add green chili sauce, tomato sauce, honey, salt and stir. Cook till well blended.
Add vinegar, after cooking for 1 minute add fried potatoes and toss the contents till well combined. Taste salt. When the spices are mixed properly, switch off the gas.
Sprinkle sesame seeds and garnish with spring onion.
Enjoy the crispy and delicious honey chili potatoes.
Serve warm as a starter / appetizer.
