Mushroom Corn Twist
My kids like corn, so they would have it boiled.
It eventually started to get boring, so I wanted to give a little twist to the
corn. I had some mushroom in my refrigerator. My younger daughter does not like
mushrooms, so I made this dish in order to get her to eat mushrooms. When I was
taking pictures of this dish she could not wait to eat it. The name Mushroom
corn twist is given by me.
Serve 2-3
Ingredients
200-250 gms button mushrooms
1 large onion (chopped randomly)
5-6 garlic clove (finely chopped)
1 string curry leaves
1 cup corn (boiled)
2-3 green chilis chopped
¼ black pepper powder
2 tsp oil
Salt as required
1tsp Lemon
juice
Procedure
Wash mushrooms and rinse and chop the mushrooms. (As
shown in the picture)
Heat oil in a pan; add chopped onions and sauté till
they begin to get light brown. Add a little pinch of salt to the onions. Add
green chilies, curry leaves, garlic and fry for a minute. Now add the chopped
mushroom and stir. Add black pepper powder. When the black pepper, garlic and
curry leaves get mixed, they give a very good aroma.
Sauté the mushrooms till they shrink in size and release
water. Add corn and stir it till the mushrooms and corn turn light golden
Taste and add salt ….Add lemon juice
Garnish with coriander leaves.
It goes well with dal and roti, Serve it
hot,
Note
Do not cover it with lid; mushrooms already release
a lot of water
If you want you can add tomato garlic sauce
