Halloween Recipe - Witches Fingers

Halloween night is near and you can bring the horror and terror to the party not only with the scary home decorations, but also with some funny treats that your guests and especially the kids will love.

We are in USA for the first time during Halloween. My younger daughter is very excited and she forced me to make something for Halloween that should be scary.  I have never tried these types of recipes before; I got this recipe off the internet. I was afraid to try it but it was great,  my daughter and her friends enjoyed it.

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup icing sugar
1 egg
1tsp almond extract
3 cups maida / flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
25 almonds

Procedure

In bowl, using electric mixture, beat butter until fluffy. Gradually beat in sugar and add sugar and beat until creamy. Now add egg and vanilla. Beat until fluffy.

In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt and baking powder. Gradually beat flour mixture into butter mixture

Knead it using your hands. Knead into a small dough and cover with cling wrap and refrigerate for 15 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a tray. Take out the dough from fridge.

Divide it into small balls. Make a shape which is thinner than a human finger.
Place it on a tray. With jam glue the peeled almonds as fingernails on each finger. With a toothpick make several slits for lines.

Now bake on middle rack of oven for 17 minutes or until dough is lightly golden brown.
